Challenge

Traditional subway station announcement system is controlled manually by the driver, miss-announcement and wrong-announcement are common, which create confusion for passengers. ZigBee wireless technology is the way to solve this problem and realize automated station announcement.

Solution

Subway automated station announcement system consists of wireless devices in platform, carriage and subway radio system. Every platform and carriage is equipped with ZigBee-based IP-Link 2220H terminal to build a wireless network. When the train is coming, platform terminal will send station information to the carriage terminal. Then the carriage terminal will connect with the subway radio system, and broadcast the station information. The complete system is simple but reliable, lowers the mistake and increases the efficiency.
